QMCG makes, sources and buys new clothing, sleeping bags, bedding and towels to give to British charities. We work in partnership with these charities to see what they need most and together we support the most vulnerable people in our society; the homeless, refugees, the elderly, people with disabilities, women and children in refuges, premature babies and children in hospital, and people in hospices.
ELDERLY AND people in HOSPICES
“The smaller sized blankets are going down a storm and the people we have issued them to as part of our Surviving Winter campaign have been absolutely thrilled with them. We have also distributed some through our Living Well service in Salisbury and the surgeries have identified particularly vulnerable people who have been extremely grateful.”
Age UK, Salisbury
“Following an admission to hospital with pneumonia, I was given a blanket by Age UK, Wiltshire to help keep me warm. It made such a difference, as until that point I felt cold all the time. I now use it as an additional cover on my bed and it makes a big difference, I couldn’t be more grateful.”

Hospices
“Again many, many thanks for very kindly delivering the donations to the hospice from Queen Mother’s Clothing Guild. A big thank you on behalf of the hospice for the towels, nighties, pyjamas and bed socks. I took the nightwear up to the ward after you left and the team were delighted to receive them for our patients. As I was delivering them a nurse actually said a patient needed some socks and we chose a pair for them – it was wonderful to be able to immediately help make a patient more comfortable with a donated item, and so soon after you had left them too.”
